The schoolbag has its requirements: to carry the schoolboy's equipment from September 1st to June 30th, except if possible during the holidays; to be both light and resistant; to store and find each object easily: pencil case, calculator, sandwich, slate, noodle necklace. Schoolbag No. 1 is made of woven canvas. Two adjustable straps and a padded back allow it to be carried on the back and a leather handle, by hand. Gussets, rivets and reinforcement bar increase its solidity. Books, notebooks and binders can be placed in two large compartments. On closer inspection, however, you can find a crumpled note from the teacher and a crushed biscuit in the small pocket at the front.

NAVY CANVAS 100% COTTON

Made in France exclusively for L/UNIFORM, this 100% cotton canvas is woven in plain weave, known for its stability and durability, with no right or wrong side.

After weaving, the canvas is washed and shorn to achieve an almost smooth surface. It is then dyed through in navy.
A water-repellent treatment is applied, followed by a coating on the reverse side only, preserving the brightness of the color on the outer face. This coating facilitates care while maintaining the natural appearance of the material.

DUNE CANVAS 100% COTTON

Made in France from carded fibers that have not been chemically treated, this 100% cotton canvas is known for its stability and durability. Long used by the military, the plain weave in which it is constructed is particularly dense, giving the fabric excellent resistance to deformation and tearing.

This density makes through-dyeing particularly complex: the color does not always penetrate the fiber entirely and may reveal small lighter threads during production or with use. These variations are inherent to the material and reflect its authenticity.

The canvases are then treated with a water-repellent treatment, followed by a coating applied to the reverse to preserve the vibrancy of the color on the outer face. This coating also facilitates maintenance while maintaining the material’s natural appearance.
