L/UNIFORM OPENS ITS FIRST AMERICAN FLAGSHIP IN NEW YORK
L/UNIFORM opens the doors of its first American flagship on September 8th on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. A new chapter for the French house, the New York boutique joins its Paris origin and Tokyo outpost as the third global flagship and the first to take root on American soil.
THE SPACE
The Upper East Side boutique was designed by architect Jakob Sprenger, who was entrusted with translating the L/UNIFORM spirit into architecture. The result is a space that feels at once structured and warm, an environment where the act of choosing a bag becomes an experience worth lingering in.
Sprenger took his cue from the straightforward ingenuity of a classic travel trunk: honest materials, visual order, nothing superfluous. The cabinetry, crafted in American walnut, grounds the space in quiet tactility. Saturated blocks of color mark the walls and architectural trims, a direct echo of the vibrant canvas hues and leather bindings that define L/UNIFORM's collections.
"We wanted to design a space where utility feels graceful," says Sprenger. "By combining color and distinct architectural lines with warm, tactile materials, the boutique carries a sense of order and youthful play. It is a physical reflection of the care and quiet elegance that L/Uniform weaves into every bag."
" Furniture and objects were curated by Gladys Chenel of Galerie Chenel L/UNIFORM's neighbor on the Quai Voltaire in Paris whose selections bring a layer of Parisian lived-in elegance to the space.
The Upper East Side location carries L/UNIFORM's complete range of canvas and leather bags, small accessories, and lightweight travel pieces.

The BESPOKE Atelier
A dedicated bespoke atelier anchors the boutique. An intimate space where L/UNIFORM's savoir-faire is not merely displayed, but practiced. Clients are invited to slow down : to sit with a curated library of canvas hues, leather edgings, hardware and customization, and configure a piece entirely their own.
From the first choice of canvas to the final detail of hardware and customization (initials & symbols), every element can be decided by the person who will carry it. This is L/UNIFORM's belief made tangible that a well-made object, when it is also truly yours, becomes something you carry for life.
